In May, the Party of Regions remained a leader of electoral sympathies of Ukrainians.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, these are the results of a poll carried out by FOM-Ukraine company and publicized at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
According to company’s director general Oleksander Bukhalov, if the parliamentary election took place on May 24, 2009, some 24.7% of those polled would vote for the Party of Regions.
The second place is occupied by the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko with 15.8%.
The third place is occupied by Arseniy Yatseniuk’s Front of Changes – 8.4%.
Some 4% of those polled would vote for the Communist Party of Ukraine, and some 2.7% - for the Lyvyn’s Bloc.
Besides, according to the expert, the All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda, headed by Oleh Tyahnybok, also has chance to enter parliament (2.6%).
The parliamentary ratings of other political forces of Ukraine make up 1% and less.
Analyzing the dynamics of electoral preferences of Ukrainians, O.Bukhalov noted that, in January 2008, some 29% of electors were ready to vote for BYuT, and some 21% - for the Party of Regions.
The poll was carried out on May 17-26, 2008, in 85 settlements of Ukraine. 1000 respondents aged over 18 years old were involved in the poll. The error margin does not exceed 4%.
