The BYuT faction calls on President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko either to stop negative statements about the Ukrainian government’s work, or to dismiss it.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, BYuT faction member Mykola Tomenko claimed this from the parliament’s rostrum today.

According to him, the BYuT faction has been keeping silence for several weeks already, receiving reprimands about the government’s activities from the Presidential Secretariat and the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDCU).

“But, considering the extent to which the Ukrainian President has been smearing the Ukrainian government abroad during the last month, we assess it as a scorn for not only the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, not only Yulia Tymoshenko personally, but as a disrespect of Ukraine”, M.Tomenko emphasized.

He noted that, considering the current situation, BYuT would like to address the President and tell Victor Yushchenko that, if he believes that his government is NSDC and the Presidential Secretariat, he should recognize this, and claim to the Ukrainian nation that he does not trust the incumbent Cabinet of Ministers. “Let him dismiss the government of Yulia Tymoshenko and work with a new oppositional government of Victor Yanukovych”, M.Tomenko said.

At the same time, according to the lawmaker, if the President does not dismiss the government, BYuT would like that he announce that he works with the government of Yulia Tymoshenko.

“Daily three-hour sessions, at which Oblast State Administrations are ordered not to fulfill government’s resolutions, and Ministers are ordered not to fulfill Prime Minister’s orders, may come to a bad end for the Ukrainian nation”, the lawmaker stressed.
