Three factions – the Party of Regions, Communists, and Lytvyn’s Bloc, did not take part in the voting.

One lawmaker of BYuT faction, and one – of OU-PSD faction did not vote the appointment of Yulia Tymoshenko as Prime Minister.

Lawmakers of BYuT and OU-PSD factions claimed that two voting cards failed to operate, in particular, the voting card of OU-PSD member Oleksander Omelchenko.

After this, the issue of a repeat voting on the Tymoshenko’s candidacy, was put for voting. The Party of Regions faction immediately blockaded the parliament’s tribune.

However, again only 225 lawmakers voted for a repeat voting on the candidacy of Yulia Tymoshenko.

After this, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko held a conversation with Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk, and they left the chamber of parliament.

Lawmakers remain in the session hall.

Yulia Tymoshenko went through the government’s box to the corridor, where the Verkhovna Rada Speaker’s cabinet is situated.
