Yulia Tymoshenko’s daughter, Eugenia, says the authorities continue to blackmail her mother to get her to agree to include their physicians in the international medical group that will examine her, according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.
"As we wait for the German and Canadian doctors, the government continues its manipulations and games to force my mother to agree for representatives of the Ministry of Health, who she refused before, to take part in the independent commission. And how are they blackmailing her? They’ve haven’t given her painkillers for several days," Eugenia Tymoshenko said today during the roundtable "Human Rights Crisis in Ukraine: torture as a negative component of modern law enforcement".
Yulia Tymoshenko’s daughter hopes that by Monday, February 13, the international group of physicians can come to Ukraine to provide an independent assessment of her mother’s health. "We hope that on Monday the independent commission will arrive and they will be able to make the first correct diagnosis and understand what is going on with my mother’s body. We don’t know how the painkillers and vitamins she was being given until recently for 5 months affected her body," she added.
"My mother has been without proper medical care for six months. She is in terrible pain and can’t get out of bed. The diagnoses by the Ministry of Health are constantly fabricated and the doctors that didn’t want to put their signature on fraudulent diagnoses were pressured by the prosecutor’s office and authorities to change their testimony and falsify the diagnosis to say her health is satisfactory. The government continues to hide the real state of her health, nobody is treating her, and all requests and appeals go ignored," said Eugenia Tymoshenko.
