The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has passed the criminal case brought against MP Hennadiy Moskal (OU-PSD faction) for consideration of the Prosecutor’s General Office.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, SBU head Valentyn Nalyvaychenko claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

“Basing on results of SBU investigations, we documented corrupted activities of member of parliament H.Moskal. First of all, it is connected with violation of the law on war veterans status”, V.Nalyvaychenko stressed, adding that, in particular, officials or bribers were illegally provided with documents confirming their status of war veterans, while actually they had absolutely nothing in common with any battle actions, and had no right to position themselves as veterans.

V.Nalyvaychenko stressed: “SBU has not only documented the crime but also passed all materials, connected with corruption activities of the lawmaker, for consideration of the Prosecutor’s General Office and bringing the criminal case”.

V.Nalyvaychenko pointed out that the case is particularly serious because the mentioned-above lawmaker is the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for corruption and organized crime.
