In the course of telephone talks today, Gazprom OJSC chief Alexey Miller and Naftohaz Ukrayiny chairman Oleh Dubyna have reached an agreement to solve the crisis situation in the gas sphere relations between the two countries.
This is said in the joint statement of Naftohaz and Gazprom, forwarded to UNIAN.
In particular, the sides have agreed that the gas supplies during January 1- March 1, 2008, will be paid for by Naftohaz Ukrayiny by the scheme, existing as of beginning of the year. The problems with Russian natural gas supplies will be solved. The talks on other issues of collaboration in the gas sphere will continue.
“The Russian gas transit for European consumers through the Ukrainian territory is carried out in full volume. The gas cuts for Ukrainian consumers ended”, the statement reads.
