The seventh place in the electoral list of the Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense Bloc will be occupied by Zhytomyr Oblast governor Yuri Pavlenko, instead of President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Our Ukraine leader Viacheslav Kyrylenko disclosed this to journalists today.
“We discussed the position, which became vacant as a result of the decision of the Presidential Secretariat’s team not to participate in the election, and the party presidium proposed the inter-party convention, which is to approve of the list, to appoint the candidacy of Yuri Pavlenko for the seventh position in the electoral list”, V.Kyrylenko said.
He noted that the party leadership praised the stance of the Secretariat, which, for the sake of victory, refused from taking part in the election.
He stressed that V.Baloha, Ivan Vasiunyk, Roman Bessmertny, Victor Bondar, and others, made a real step, which proves once again that all the accusations that as if the President’s team will apply an administrative resource, are groundless.
