Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has given the Lukyanivka prison administration her appeal of the unlawful verdict delivered in the so-called "gas case", according to the Official web site of Yulia Tymoshenko.
First Deputy Head of the Batkivshchyna Party Oleksandr Turchynov said today that Yulia Tymoshenko personally read and finalized the appeal. "The only way to submit it to the court is via the prison administration," he said.
Yulia Tymoshenko’s lawyers will on October 25 file their appeal through the Pechersk District Court. "In order to make sure the complaint doesn’t get lost – you have to understand how this government operates – there will be two, another appeal will be submitted to the court by the lawyers," Turchynov explained.
Wednesday, October 26, is the deadline for appealing the verdict of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv sentencing Yulia Tymoshenko to 7 years in prison and requiring her to compensate Naftohaz for alleged losses.
