President Viktor Yanukovych went on a working visit to the United States to take part in the 66th UN General Assembly session, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych.
The President will speak at the plenary meeting of the 66th UN General Assembly session, as well as at two high-level meetings of the General Assembly – on nuclear security and safety, and on the prevention of non-communicable diseases.
In addition, the President of Ukraine will take part in the second meeting of the "Friends of Libya" group.
Viktor Yanukovych will also take part in a formal launch of the Open Government Partnership initiative by U.S. President Barack Obama and Brazil President Dilma Rousseff.
During the working visit, President Yanukovych will hold a number of bilateral meetings with heads of states and governments of foreign countries and heads of international organizations.
