Commenting on her meeting with Ukraine’s Finance Minister Victor Pinzenyk, she noted the deficit of the state budget-2008 at the level of 1.5% could be a good result. However, in her opinion, 2% deficit is also not a bad variant.

In her turn, Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that the government has been working for 3.5 months already, and has been applying maximum forces to combat inflation, inherited from the previous government.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the main aim of Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s visit in Ukraine is to get acquainted with the country’s achievements over the last years, along with discussing the further broadening of cooperation between the World Bank and Ukraine.
