Transport and Communication Minister Yosyp Vinskyi has approved a plan of measures on increasing the use of Ukrainian language in the transport and communication sphere.
The press service of the Transport and Communication Ministry disclosed to UNIAN that the plan of measures was approved with the Minister’s order dated March 25.
The plan stipulates this year to totally transfer to Ukrainian in the sphere of passengers servicing in transport, railway stations, airports; to translate into Ukrainian all standard acts, technical documents, rules, instructions, which were earlier issued in Russian language; to produce tickets for all kinds of transport at all the territory of Ukraine only in Ukrainian language.
At the same time, the plan also instructs to broadcast songs in transport “mainly in Ukrainian language, and in railway and aircraft - only in Ukrainian language”.
Moreover, the Minister instructed to carry out Ukrainian business language courses in structural subdivisions of the Ministry, and to include into the Ministry’s staff the post of an editor.
