“This performance reflects the real state of affairs in the coalition, which, in my opinion, was called democratic too early. That humiliating procedure, passed by all 227 lawmakers – was rather a barrack-like democracy, when some posts check up how the lawmakers voted”, Victor Yanukovych stressed.

The Prime Minister recalled that in line with the Constitution and the Verkhovna Rada regulations, the Verkhovna Rada Speaker must be elected in a secret voting regime.

In the opinion of Victor Yanukovych, this is the reason why the democratic coalition cannot be effective.

“We know this basing on our previous experience. Today the coalition has not taken place as yet, but populists, there is enough of them in the coalition, already begin give estimates to the government and distort facts. They prepare in advance their position to charge their predecessors with all the problems”, he said.
