Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense faction chief Viacheslav Kyrylenko will propose the candidacy of Arseniy Yatseniuk for the post of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, V.Kyrylenko claimed this at a briefing for press.
He recalled that yesterday they finished to collect signatures under the agreement on creating the democratic coalition.
“And, today we do not see any obstacles for the two faction chiefs to sign the agreement on creating the coalition of democratic forces”, V.Kyrylenko stressed.
At the same time, the faction leader stressed he is confident that candidacies for the posts of Speaker and Prime Minister must not provoke “even minimal” discussions.
That is why V.Kyrylenko claimed that he will persuade his faction to support the candidacy of Arseniy Yatseniuk, who is also supported by President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko.
“I will ask all colleagues in my faction to support this candidacy during the voting for the Verkhovna Rada Speaker”, he emphasized.
At the same time, V.Kyrylenko stressed that the decision will not be made without candidate A.Yatseniuk, who, being the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, is now paying a visit to Madrid.
