“In this context the European Commission and the European External Action Service pay attention to absence of the progress in fulfillment of some key tasks that remain within a framework of the First phase of the plan and it can have a negative effect on content of the final version of the second assessment”, notes P. Klimkin.

According to his words, European officials noted an absence of the progress in three directions: adoption of the law, which introduces biometric passports for exit from the country; adoption of the law on forming a separate anti corruption body; approval of the Strategy of struggle against discrimination in Ukraine and adoption of a separate anti-discriminatory law.
