President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych will pay an official visit to Turkey on December 22.
The press service of the President of Ukraine disclosed to UNIAN that Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Serhiy Lyovochkin said this.
It is planned that this visit will promote further deepening of a political dialogue between Ukraine and Turkey, activization in trade-economic, energy, scientific and technical, transport, cultural and other areas.
During the visit the head of the Ukrainian state will meet with President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The 1st sitting of the Strategic Council of high level under chairmanship of the President of Ukraine and Prime Minister of Turkey will take place.
S. Lyovochkin underlined that as a result of the visit it is planned to sign a Joint statement that will consolidate main arrangements of the sides concerning intensification of the cooperation in concrete perspective directions of the bilateral interaction.
