Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn gave instructions to the Committee of the VRU on regulations issues, lawmaker ethics and organization of work of the VRU, and machinery of the Verkhovna Rada to carry out official investigation concerning signing up of lawmakers for speeches in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, V. Lytvyn said this at the session of the parliament in reply to demand of leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov concerning necessity of such investigation.
O. Yefremov noted that today more than 60 members of the Party of Regions signed up to deliver a speech but their surnames did not appear on the indicator board.
According to his words, it is necessary to give an official instruction “to check who cheats signing up for speeches”.
