President of Ukraine to pay working visit to Belgium

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko will pay a working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium on October 15-16.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, press secretary of the President of Ukraine Iryna Vannikova said this today.

According to her words, it is the first official visit in the history of bilateral relations.

The range of the meetings of the President of Ukraine is scheduled during the visit. Particularly, there will be the meetings with King of Belgium Albert II, Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy and Speaker of the Senate Armand de Decker.

The meetings with leadership of the Belgian Businessmen Federation and representatives of the local self-government are also scheduled.

Moreover, according to the words of the press secretary, within the frameworks of the visit the meetings of President of Ukraine with President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and newly elected President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek are also planned.
