Lion bit off hand to 33-year-old man

A lion in a mobile zoo bit off a hand to 33-year-old visitor in Burshtyn city of the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

The tragedy took place at 19.00pm, Ivano-Frankivsk mass media report today.

While a wife of the injured person was looking at marmosets with her underage son, drunk man tried to “say hello” to the lion. The man got over the barrier, came to the cage and tried to stroke the lion. The lion bit off his hand above the elbow and injured the thorax.

Doctors amputated the hand to the man in resuscitation department of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast hospital. They said that he will stay in hospital for three weeks.
