The World Bank has revised its forecast concerning the Ukrainian gross domestic product in 2009.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Ukraine`s economy is expected to shrink 9% in 2009, the World Bank`s chief economist in the country, Ruslan Pyontkivsky, told reporters in Kyiv Tuesday.

The World Bank has worsened the inflation rate forecast for Ukraine from 13.6% to 16.4%. At the same time, by the year 2010, Ukraine’s inflation rate will slow down to 10%, and by the year 2011 – to 8%.
