Kharkiv Mayor becomes TV-presenter

Kharkiv Mayor Mykhaylo Dobkin will become one of presenters of “Svoboda na Interi” weekly social-political televised show that is due to kick off at Inter TV on October 10.

Mayor’s spokes person Victoria Marenych disclosed this to Evening Kharkiv web-site.

According to the information of Inter TV, for the first time in the history of television, viewers will see discussions of pressing social-political issues without any journalist mediators. Instead, famous Ukrainian politicians will try the role of TV-presenters. Every Friday, a new political figure will become a presenter. Participants of the TV-show will have to answer to three questions – a problem of national importance, a political initiative of the presenter, and a topic of the week. Two hundred viewers in the studio will vote to assess the persuasiveness of politicians.

The first program of “Svoboda na Interi”, scheduled for October 10, will be presented by Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk.
