Party of Regions does not want to lose face because of Tymoshenko

Oleksander Yefremov, member of parliament and deputy head of the Party of Regions faction, believes that a procedure of President’s impeachment may take up to three months.

He said this answering questions of journalists about the possibility of a President’s impeachment in Ukraine, according to the Party of Regions press-service.

“It could be done if lawmakers were logical. But when they are illogical, today they propose to adopt draft laws together and tomorrow they say that we will not vote for this draft laws in the second reading, we’re sorry, everybody but the Party of Regions will be partners for them in this move”, O.Yefremov said.

According to O.Yefremov, the Party of Regions “does not want to lose face”.

He also informed that a simultaneous carrying out of parliamentary and presidential elections is not on agenda of the Verkhovna Rada as of today.

“Somebody could make such statements, but nobody proposed it officially”, he said. O.Yefremov believes that Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko makes a return today. “She is trying to please the President today”, he said. According to the politician, at present the Party of Regions does not hold any talks on creating a coalition with BYuT.
