[05.09.2008 09:14] President writes letter to PMPresident Victor Yushchenko wrote a letter Thursday to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko urging the Government to begin proper realization of affordable accommodation building program, according to the President`s press-office. “Lack of adequate measures on the level of state authorities may result in decrease of living houses construction with prices remaining at the same level”, - said Victor Yushchenko in his letter. According to him main causes for negative tendencies at the accommodation market include insufficient number of constructed cheap and affordable accommodation, incomparability of citizens’ incomes to prices for accommodation, problems of mortgage system development, ineffective policy of the state in the field, etc. Therefore President requested the Government to conduct a research of negative tendencies at accomodation market in Ukraine and to apply necessary measures to overcome them. On the results of the work President asked to inform him before October 1, 2008.
