Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and U.S. President George Bush have discussed perspectives of creating a free trade zone between Ukraine and USA at their meeting in Kyiv on Tuesday.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, top Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksander Turchynov claimed this to journalists today.

“The talks on creating a free trade zone may be carried out simultaneously with talks on creating a free trade zone between USA and Ukraine”, O.Turchynov claimed.

According to him, the Ukrainian Prime Minister and the U.S. President discussed mostly economic issues, including the opportunity of American companies’ participation in privatization of Ukrainian enterprises, issues of the gas transit through the Ukrainian territory to Europe, etc..

The Top Deputy Prime Minister also informed that in the end of the meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations, the American President suddenly proposed Yulia Tymoshenko to hold a tete-a-tete meeting, which was not stipulated by the program of his visit.
