The overwhelming majority of Ukrainian experts believe that the Yulia Tymoshenko’s governments, first of all, should focus on carrying out liberal economic reforms.

These are the results of an expert poll “100 days of Ukraine: work of parliamentary-governmental coalition”, which was carried out by the Institute of Global Strategies, and publicized at a press conference in UNIAN today by Institute deputy chief Uliana Kiriyenko.

In particular, some 60% those polled experts are convinced that the Cabinet of Ministers must, first of all, solve the problem of the lack of capital investments into the economics, some 50% - the deterioration of the main funds, some 80% - the problem of corruption at the higher level, some 60% - the problem of the high inflation.

At the same time, according to the polled experts, the most important priorities in the work of the Yulia Tymoshenko’s government are the refusal from intermediaries in gas supplies to Ukraine (some 65-70%), PR activity of the Head of Government (some 75%), the electoral process (some 60%) (many assess the Yulia Tymoshenko’s activity the beginning of her presidential electoral campaign).

Speaking about the priorities, to which Yulia Tymoshenko’s government does not pay enough attention, the experts mentioned creating conditions to prevent economic crises (some 55%), credit policy (some 50%), development of small and middle-size businesses (some 45%), and growing the investment attractiveness of regions (30%).

The poll was carried out during March 15-23 of 2008. On the whole, 20 experts were polled – political scientists, sociologists, economists, mass media editors. The poll was carried out in a form of anonymous questioning.
