Gazprom to halve gas to Ukraine from Tuesday

Russia`s gas export monopoly Gazprom will halve gas supplies to Ukraine from 1700 GMT on Tuesday because it still cannot reach any deal on debts and contracts for 2008, Gazprom said on Tuesday, according to Reuters.

On Monday, Gazprom reduced supplies to Ukraine by 25 percent. Both Gazprom and Ukraine said supplies to Europe were running unaffected.
