Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko will initiate gas talks with Russia.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, she claimed this at a press conference today.
According to Yulia Tymoshenko, all the gas issues will be studied in details, including gas agreements, which “has remained a secret so far”.
“We will have to rise all the massive of documents, to study the situation, and we, without any doubt, will initiate a meeting with our Russian colleagues to clarify all the issues concerning providing Ukraine with natural gas, and concerning the natural gas transit through the Ukrainian territory”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.
At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that her stance regarding intermediaries at the gas market remains invariable. “There must not be any mediators at the gas market.
There is Naftohaz Ukrayiny, which we will return to a normal financial state, by stopping all bankruptcy procedures”, she stressed.
Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized that her government will hold talks with the Russian side basing namely on this position.
