Ukraine is interested in stirring up of relations with USA – Yanukovych

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych said this during the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary William Taylor.

V. Yanukovych noted that Ukraine in interested in further stirring up of bilateral cooperation with USA, primarily in the trade-economic sphere. Particularly, according to his words,  amount of goods and services trade for January – August 2007 increased by 13.5% - to 1.5 billion dollars.

V. Yanukovych and W. Taylor also discussed the home policy in Ukraine and bilateral relations issue.

The head of the government noted that the main task for today is a preserving the stability in the country. According to his opinion, it is necessary to create power coalition for that, where all constructively intended political forces would come. “Now we are waiting for the decision of the court concerning publicizing the official results of election”, added V. Yanukovych.
