The Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko will begin preparing to the presidential election campaign of the year 2010, if Our Ukraine – People’s self-Defense Bloc creates a coalition with the Party of Regions.
According to the BYuT press-service, Yulia Tymoshenko claimed this in an interview to Gazeta.pl Polish web site.
“Yushchenko and Yanukovych have already twice formed a coalition and both attempts ended with a catastrophe. The only opportunity to stabilize the situation in the country is to form a coalition of democratic forces”, Yulia Tymoshenko said.
“However, the Ukrainian politics is full of surprises. If the President and Prime Minister agreed behind my back, obviously, the previous coalition will repeat. I have plan “B”: we will remain in the opposition, and I will begin to prepare to the Presidential election campaign”, she noted.
The BYuT front-runner believes that the President, when he agreed to form a coalition with Prime Minister Victor Yanukovych, wanted to build a bridge, uniting the eastern and western parts of Ukraine.
