Representatives of the coalition in the working group on preparing the snap poll cannot forecast whether their work will be finished today.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, parliamentary majority leader Raisa Bohatyriova informed that in the morning opposition representatives did not present any variants of documents that must have been worked out by them. That is why they decided to make an interval till 11.00, and now the sides are working in their groups. In the morning, the coalition and opposition representatives just shared their opinions.
Asked what was the main problem in the group’s work, R.Bohatyriova said: “The discussion goes around a Verkhovna Rada decree”. At the same time she did not explain which exactly decree she meant.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on 4 May, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych agreed to carry out a snap poll after introducing amendments into the electoral legislation.
On 5 May, a working group began to work over the legal mechanism of holding a snap poll.
Today the group was planned to finish its work and submit its proposals to the President and the Prime Minister.
