President congratulated Ukraine weightlifters

Victor Yushchenko has congratulated the team of Ukraine’s athletes on winning the title of the planet’s strongest nation, according to the President’s press-office.

      “At this year’s sixth world championship involving the best weightlifters from Great Britain, Iceland, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, the United States and Finland, Ukrainian athletes proved they were stronger in an uncompromising competition, which helped improve the country’s image…,” he said.

      The President wished the champions good health, happiness, and new victories for Ukraine.

      “The country will be proud of your brilliant victories,” he added.
