Ukraine may begin producing synthetic gas

To begin the industrial production of synthetic gas from coal, Ukraine needs at the first stage 150 million dollars. Lawmaker Anatoliy Kinakh, chairman of the Ukrainian Union for Industrialists and Businessmen, disclosed this to a news conference today.

      According to an UNIAN correspondent, he noted that the first stage may last for nearly 2 years.

      A.Kinakh also noted that, as of today, the concept of this project is worked out together with the National academy of sciences of Ukraine, and a respective program will be created on the basis of this document. At the same time, he specified that the program will be financed not at the expense of the state, by at private funds. The project is likely to payback in 2-3 years.
